Wiki Examples

This page explains what a wiki is and links to a variety of wikis being used in classrooms. They include a variety of subject areas as well as age levels. Choose wikis that fit what you teach, but also choose some that do not. These wikis use a variety of web 2 tools, so you will find some uses that you can modify to fit your grade level/subject area.

How this page was created

The examples below were added to a two-column table created on this wikispace page. The "window" into the various wiki web sites was created using Apture http://www.apture.com/bloggers/
Apture lets you use an online tool to search for and embed videos, web pages, images, documents, etc. in a web site. In this case the URL was directly added when creating the "window" in Apture. If you want to try it, go to Apture, click For Bloggers, then click Download Apture Plugin, Other Platform, Get Started Now, Create a Super Embed.
